The Center for Successful Aging (CSA) offers a variety of services to our senior population and families of all ages. "Within this century, we will have unprecedented numbers of people living longer than ever before. How do we make these years satisfying, given early retirement, increasing life spans, and more mobile and spread-out family units?" ask Dr. Beverly Schydlowsky, Director of CSA States. "Our counselors have themselves adressed these issues and are prepared to help."

CSA Video LifeChronicles has made a wonderful video about the Center for Successful Aging (CSA). The video features our Director, Beverly Schydlowsky, PhD., who will tell you about CSA’s broad range of services, and our peer counselors and clients who will share their experiences.
Dr. Evelyn Freeman, innovator of the nationally acclaimed Senior Peer Counseling Training Center in Santa Monica, California, has expressed her support and enthusiasm for CSA, saying, “Through the inspired dedication of peer counselors within this newly launched program, everyone can benefit—the client, the counselor, the agency that offers this service, and the entire community.” The program helps seniors who are facing the issues and challenges of aging. When loved ones are lost and friends move away, it’s easy to feel isolated, frightened and depressed. The Center for Successful Aging provides assurance that our community does care and that people don't have to go it alone. With trained volunteer counselors available to help deal with every day problems, seniors of all backgrounds can stay connected to their community and continue to live independent and emotionally rewarding lives. |
